This Privacy Policy explains how Pley AB, a company incorporated in Sweden (“Pley”, “we”, “us”), processes personal data in connection with the operation of the Pley platform and related services.
This Privacy Policy applies only to personal data processed by Pley. It does not apply to personal data processed by game developers, third-party platforms, or other third parties, which is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Controller and Processor Roles. Depending on the context, Pley may process personal data either:

Scope of This Policy. This Privacy Policy describes only Pley’s processing of personal data as an independent data controller. Where Pley processes personal data as a data processor, the applicable game developer is the data controller and the developer’s privacy policy governs that processing.

Pley processes transaction-related metadata necessary to enable purchases, link transactions to users, provide receipts, manage entitlements, handle support requests, and coordinate refunds or chargebacks.

Developer-Directed Processing. In certain limited circumstances, Pley processes personal data solely on behalf of a game developer and in accordance with the developer’s instructions.

Where Pley provides a templated website on behalf of a developer, the developer remains the data controller for the website and its content, and Pley acts only as a service provider for the operation of such website.

Embedded Platform Services. Embedded Pley services (such as playables, authentication, or payment flows) operate under this Privacy Policy to the extent Pley acts as an independent data controller for those services.
5.1.
Distribution via Third-Party Platforms. Games may be made available through third-party websites or platforms integrated with the Pley platform, where agreed between Pley and the developer.

Independent Controllers. Such third-party platforms act as independent data controllers for personal data processed in connection with their own services, including any tracking, analytics, or advertising they operate. Pley is not responsible for the data-processing practices of such third-party platforms, and users should review their privacy policies. Users should review the privacy policies of such third-party platforms and developers to understand how their personal data is processed.

Rights Where Pley Is Controller. Where Pley acts as an independent data controller, users may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability, as well as the right to object to certain processing and to withdraw consent where applicable.

Developer-Controlled Data. Requests relating to personal data processed by a game developer should be directed to the applicable developer.

Complaints. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In particular, you may contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), which is Pley’s lead supervisory authority, or the supervisory authority in the EU Member State where you reside, work, or where an alleged infringement has occurred.
Pley’s services are not directed at children under the age of thirteen (13). Pley does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of thirteen without appropriate authorization.
Where Pley becomes aware that personal data of a child under the age of thirteen has been collected in connection with its services without appropriate authorization, Pley will take reasonable steps to delete such data.
Age limits and access rules for specific games or websites are determined by the applicable game developer or third-party platform and are governed by their respective terms and policies.
Pley implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
Pley may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
